LISCO Carries Out HBI Shipments to Turkey and Morocco

Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) continues to strengthen its international presence with new export shipments to Turkey and Morocco.

LISCO Carries Out HBI Shipments to Turkey and Morocco

LISCO is sending 10,000 tons of Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) to Turkey aboard the "GEMINI CAPO" vessel from Misrata port, and 5,000 tons of HBI to Morocco on the "HAKKI AYKIN" vessel.

In a statement, the company mentioned that the "GEMINI CAPO" has started the loading process for the shipment to Turkey, while the "HAKKI AYKIN" is ready for the shipment to Morocco.

These shipments are seen as part of LISCO’s strategy to strengthen its position in the global market and increase its influence in the steel industry. The company had previously announced, three weeks ago, that it shipped 8,000 tons of rebar to Lebanon aboard the "SNAPPER" vessel. Simultaneously, it also stated that the export of 30,000 tons of hot-rolled steel continues, with shipments being carried out on the "KNIDOS" vessel to Portugal. The company emphasized that these export operations have increased demand for its products both regionally and internationally.
