Steel exports from Latin America to the US increased by 34.3% mom and 59.4% yoy to around 740,000 tons. Exports to Mexico amounted to about 325,000 tons.
The value of exports in this period reached approximately USD 654 million.
In the January-September period, US steel imports from Latin America increased by 0.7% yoy to around 5.99 million tons. In the same period, Mexican steel exports to the US amounted to 3.09 million tons, down by 20.5% y-o-y.
