In the first four months of this year, Latin America's crude steel production totaled about 19.37 million tons, down 6.6% y-o-y.
Brazil and Mexico topped the list in crude steel production
Brazil's and Mexico's crude steel production amounted to 2.77 million and 1.39 million tons, respectively.
Production from electric arc furnaces and blast furnaces was about 2.32 million tons and 2.58 million tons, respectively.
