Kroman Çelik will establish a SPP worth 606 million TL

The company plans to expand the area of Horasan SPP, which has an installed capacity of 65 MW. In addition to that, a new power plant named Horasan-2 SPP with an installed capacity of 45 MW will be established in the same region. It was announced that the total investment amount covering both projects was 606 million TL.

Second SPP in Erzurum

The area of the current Horasan SPP's 65 MW power plant will be increased from 60.98 hectares to 64.13 hectares and 107 million kWh of electricity will be produced annually in the power plant.

Horasan-2 SPP will be established in Hızırilyas District with a power of 83.25 million kWh. This new power plant will be built on an area of 40 hectares, and will be equipped with 76,923 panels, each with a power of 585 Wp.

The total electrical energy produced in Horasan SPP and Horasan-2 SPP will be used in Kroman Çelik's production facilities within the scope of the Unlicensed Electricity Production Regulation.

The company aims to reduce energy costs by offsetting electricity consumption.

Surplus energy will be transferred to the national grid and offered for sale.

Via the 154 kV transmission line, the generated electricity will be transferred to the Horasan TM-Karakurt Havza TM EİH connection point, which is approximately 400 meters away, and will be integrated into the national grid.
