The subsidiary of Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR), KARÇEL, which has an important role in steel exports to Hungary, will provide support in steel fabrication and erection works on behalf of the automotive company BMW's project in Hungary.
KARÇEL, which has one of the largest steel construction factories in Türkiye, continues to work with the title of "Factory that builds factories" by moving towards the top in the European steel industry. KARÇEL, which previously worked with international companies such as ThyssenKrupp, Kwansoo, Koch Solutions, Siempelkamp, Outotec, FAM, which are important for the steel sector, also took part in the 'Camp Nou Mega Project' initiated for Camp Nou, the stadium of Spain's well-established club Barcelona.
KARÇEL, having achieved success in many branches, announced that it will also take part in the largest tonnage structural steel manufacturing and assembly project in Hungary. In the factory investment of BMW, which will be realised in Hungary, it stated that it will perform its part in structural steel production works.
The statements made by KARÇEL about the BMW project: "KARÇEL has assumed approximately 10 thousand tonnes of structural steel fabrication and erection works of the press and body building purchased by the construction centre in BMW's factory investment. Additionally, export activities are continuing for new potential projects in Europe and the Balkans. KARÇEL, which continues to contribute to employment as well as steel manufacturing, is expected to create a staff of approximately 250 people at the 'BMW Hungary' construction site during the peak period of the project. While the majority of the construction site team is planned to be young people from Karabük, retired workers and craftsmen from KARDEMİR will also take part in the project."
