Kaptan Group, based in Istanbul, will generate electricity from the sun to supply its own energy needs. Kaptan Group, which has iron and steel facilities in Çorlu, Marmara Ereğlisi and Karabük, will realize the plan to establish solar power plants (SPP) with an installed capacity of 11.5 MW in Saimbeyli district of Adana.
Within the scope of the project, for which the Environmental Impact Assessment Report "Positive" decision was taken, two SPPs, 10 MW and 1.5 MW, will be installed. In the Kaptan SPP-1 facility, 20,930 panels with a power of 550 Wp and 4 inverters with a power of 2800 kW will be used. The Kaptan SPP-2 facility will have 3,224 panels with a power of 550 Wp and 10 inverters with a power of 172 kW.
The project will be realized on a land classified as Dry Marginal Agriculture (DMA) land and construction (assembly and installation work) is planned to be completed in 6 months. 25 people will work during the construction phase and 3 people will work during the operation phase. It is estimated that the project value will require an investment of approximately 200 million TL.
