Japan's steel scrap exports increased

In April this year, Japan's ferrous scrap exports fell by 15.7% y-o-y to 560,176 tons.

In the first four months of this year, the country's scrap metal exports increased by 6.8% yoy to 2.24 million tons.

South Korea becomes Japan's largest scrap importer

Imports from South Korea amounted to 962,294 tons, from Vietnam to 576,080 tons and from Taiwan to 281,870 tons.
