Looking at the announced data, it was seen that Japan's exports, which exported approximately 3 million tons of steel products in March, decreased by 4.7% on an annual basis.
Exports to South Korea ranked first
It was noted that approximately 589,000 tons of steel was exported to South Korea, which ranks first among the countries to which Japan exports steel, in March with an annual increase of 5.6%.
The second country was Thailand, which exported approximately 455,000 tons of steel in March, increased by 0.5% year on year. Despite the increase in steel exports to South Korea and Thailand, exports to China and the USA decreased.
Japan exported 232,000 tons of steel to China, which ranks third after Thailand, decreased by 47.2% year on year, and 104,000 tons to the USA, which ranked fourth, decreased by 15.9% year on year.
