Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corp (NSSC), Japan's largest stainless steel producer, announced that it cut nickel-based cold rolled and medium/thick plate product prices for November contract sales by 5,000 yen (around USD 33) per ton compared to the previous month. This is the fourth consecutive month of price cuts for nickel-based products, bringing the cumulative price reduction since August to 50,000 yen (about USD 330) per ton.
In terms of chrome-based products, cold-rolled thin plate products were reported to remain unchanged for the first time in four months.
Although revisions planned for October were postponed, November contracts include updates based on improving raw material prices.
