During Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's recent visit to Jeddah, Arabia, the leaders of the two countries signed 26 memoranda of cooperation in the field of energy. Japan is providing Saudi Arabia with technology to expand solar energy and develop hydrogen and ammonia as clean energy. Japan will also help accelerate the development of copper, iron and zinc resources mined in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia also maintains stable crude oil supplies to Japan.
