Italian steel producer Arvedi has signed a contract to supply sustainable steel to German Mercedes-Benz. This steel, called Arvzero, is green steel made from recycled scrap and produced with electricity from 100% renewable sources.
Arvedi said that this collaboration is a recognition of their commitment to technological innovation for sustainable steel production. This agreement demonstrates the commitment of a major car manufacturer such as Mercedes-Benz to using environmentally friendly materials and sustainable production processes.
Green steel products such as Arvzero aim to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and utilise natural resources more efficiently in the steelmaking process. This helps large companies such as car manufacturers to achieve their sustainability goals.
