After news emerged that record tax fines were imposed on OYAK Mining Metallurgy companies Erdemir and İsdemir, both companies made a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). In the separate announcements made by the iron and steel companies, it was stated that they were not among the companies mentioned in the relevant news.
In the news previously shared by SteelRadar, it was stated that a total of 7 billion TL of tax fines were imposed on behalf of the two companies. The official statement on the subject included the following statements:
“There has been news in the media that high amounts of tax fines were imposed on two companies within the scope of the tax audit carried out in the iron and steel sector. Our Company and its subsidiaries are not among the companies mentioned in the relevant news.
In this context, there is no development regarding the issue reflected in the media that would require a public disclosure within the scope of the Capital Markets Board's II-15.1 Special Circumstances Communiqué, and this statement was made in response to questions from our investors.”
