In April 2023, the shipments of iron ore from Australia's Port of Port Hedland increased by 11.3% compared to the previous month and by 0.9% compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 48,165,980 tons.
According to data provided by the Port of Port Hedland, the iron ore shipments to China during that month amounted to 40.52 million tons, showing a m-o-m increase of 14.1% and a y-o-y increase of 0.2%. Following China, South Korea received 4.14 million tons, while Japan received 2.06 million tons of iron ore shipments.
