Iron ore exports from Hedland Port increased by 2% month-on-month in September 2024.

Iron ore exports from Hedland Port, Australia, increased in September

Iron ore shipments through the port totaled 48,801,976 metric tons in September, an increase of 10.9% month-on-month and 8.3% year-on-year, according to Hedland Port Authority.

In September 2024, iron ore shipments from Hedland port to China totaled 44.45 million mt, up 9.1% from August 2024 and 18.9% from September 2023. China was followed by South Korea with 2.39 million mt, while Japan was third with 1.03 million mt.
