SteelRadar analysts compiled preliminary foreign trade data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Undersecretariat of Customs, Türkiye's iron and steel export value in April 2024 was $807.22 million, up 34% compared to the same month last year.
The export value of iron and steel ranked sixth in the list of the country's products with the highest export value in the said month.
In January-April, the value of exports of iron or steel products, which ranked ninth on the list of the country's highest export value products in the same month, fell 12.9% yoy to $672.75 million.
The total export value of iron and steel in the January-April period increased by 22.4% compared to the same period last year to $3.28 billion, while the export value of iron and steel products decreased by 3.2% annually to $3.16 billion.
