Farzad Pilten, General Manager of the Iran Trade Development Organization for West Asia, announced that, based on the statistical data published by the Iranian Customs, the export figure of Iran to Iraq in 2022, Iran's exports to Iraq exceeded by 15% compared to 2021,and reached over 10 billion dollars. In addition, Iran's imports, which were 200 million dollars in 2022, increased the trade balance between the two countries to 10 billion dollars.
He pointed out that in 2022, in addition to natural gas, ingots, sponge iron, pipes and profiles, all kinds of transformers and metal extraction, there are products such as milk and plastic products, urea fertilizer, oranges, eggs as food and agricultural products.
