Interpipe announced its financial and operating results for the first quarter of this year. During the period, the company's sales revenue fell 4% to $229 million. In the first quarter, crude steel production increased by 13% yoy to 184,000 tons, while tube production increased by 12% yoy to 105,000 tons. The company's railway product output for the period decreased by 13% year on year to 20,000 tons.
Sales of crude steel, pipes and railway products of the company decreased by 23%, 20% and 27%, respectively. The company is planning to expand sales to North and South America, the Middle East and Asia.
