The International Conference and Exhibition of the steel supply chain, Made in Steel, which took place in Italy between May 9-11 this year, received intense interest. The theme of this year's Made in Steel was "GENERATION, reimagining our world." The first topic of the conference was to talk about our present. CEO Paolo Morandi announced that the attendance rates increase every year, and they achieved incredible results at this tenth fair.
Siderweb (the only online publication in Italy entirely dedicated to the steel sector) and Made in Steel CEO Paolo Morandi highlighted the success of the newly opened edition, with the participation of over 300 companies from 21 countries: "Made in Steel has grown over time and has become the International Conference and Exhibition of the steel value chain. Visitor participation has steadily increased since 2005, and the tenth edition achieved incredible results. We are growing, but we continue to aim high together with the rest of the steel supply chain."
Assofermet President Riccardo Benso emphasized the importance of bringing together and uniting the supply chain, and gathering the steel community every two years at Made in Steel, with a focus on sustainability and intergenerational transition issues.
Federacciai President Antonio Gozzi, who has participated in Made in Steel since its first edition, emphasized the importance of the International Conference and Exhibition and siderweb, the steel community. In a statement, he highlighted how important communication is in this era we are living in, but also pointed out that the Italian steel industry needs to improve its communication and that although a lot of things are being done, Italy is lacking in transmitting them.
Claudia Parzani stated that companies are being called to act as social enterprises. She emphasized the importance of attracting talents and aiming to support and develop them through intergenerational cross-pollination in order to be a successful company.
