Italy's National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) announced the leading data for November on price increases in the country.
Annual inflation in Italy, which was 3 percent last month, rose to 3.8 percent in November with the effect of energy prices, reaching the highest level in the last 13 years. This was recorded as the highest inflation rate since September 2008.
Inflation in Italy was recorded as an increase of 0.7 percent on a monthly basis.
INCREASED IN ENERGY PRICES TO 41.8 ANNUALLY
It is noteworthy that the regulated energy prices increased by 41.8 percent on an annual basis, while the annual increase was 1.7 percent in food prices and 3.6 percent in services. On the other hand, the leading EU-compliant CPI in Italy increased by 0.8 percent in November compared to the previous month and by 4 percent annually.
