The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye issued its January inflation forecast. The results show that household inflation expectations fell by 4.3 percentage points to 58.8 percent. During the same period, market participants' annual inflation predictions fell by 1.7 percentage points to 25.4 percent. A similar reduction was reported in the real sector, with inflation expectations falling by 3.8 points to 43.8 percent. The proportion of households anticipating inflation to fall in the next 12 months grew by 4.5 points from the previous month, reaching 30.8%.
These statistics were gathered from the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye's Market, Participants Survey, the Economic Tendency Survey, and the Sectoral Inflation Expectations Survey, which were developed in collaboration with the Turkish Statistical Institute.
