According to statistics, Indonesia's billet exports totalled around 265,100 tonnes in April, a huge 92% increase compared to the previous month.
Among them, exports to the Philippines accounted for the largest share with 36,000 tonnes. Taiwan ranked second with 25,700 tonnes.
In the first four months of this year, Indonesia exported a total of around 750,500 tonnes of billet, down 5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In terms of imports, Indonesia's billet imports decreased by 68% m-o-m to 198,600 tonnes in April. Oman was the largest source, supplying 97,700 tonnes of billet to Indonesia.
In the January-April period, Indonesia's billet imports amounted to 1.3 million tonnes, up 8% y-o-y.
