India's iron ore production reached approximately 98 million tons in the April-July period of the fiscal year 2024-25, marking a nearly 9% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Indian Ministry of Mines.
Limestone production also saw modest growth, rising by 0.7% y-o-y to hit 150 million tons. Additionally, manganese output significantly jumped by 18% to 1.3 million tons during the same period.
The continued rise in iron ore and limestone production reflects robust demand from key sectors such as steel and cement, which are driving the country's industrial output.
