According to the World Steel Association (Worldsteel), India’s crude steel production in November decreased by 0.8% compared to the previous month, falling to 12.4 million tons. Production increased by 4.5% compared to the same month last year. With this performance, India maintained its 2nd place in the world rankings.
In the January-November period of 2024, India’s total crude steel production increased by 5.9% to 135.9 million tons compared to the same period last year. The country’s crude steel production fluctuated throughout the year.
JSW Steel, one of India’s leading steel producers, produced 2.253 million tons of crude steel in November, a 7% increase compared to the same period last year, making a significant contribution to the country’s total production.
