India has announced the launch of a comprehensive anti-dumping investigation into met coke imports from Australia, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan, Japan and Russia.
This step was taken after the Indian Metallurgical Coke Manufacturers Association (IMCOM) requested the imposition of anti-dumping duties on coke imports from Australia, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan, Japan and Russia on the grounds that low ash coke from Australia, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan and Russia is causing material injury to the local industry.
The product that is the subject of the anti-dumping investigation is low ash metallurgical coke, i.e. metallurgical coke with an ash content of less than 18%, excluding ultra-low phosphorus metallurgical coke with a phosphorus content of up to 0.030%, metallurgical coke with a size tolerance of 5% for use in ferroalloy production, with a size up to 30 mm. These products are classified under HS codes 27040010, 27040020, 27040030, and 27040090.
India announced that it will examine the period from October 1, 2023 to September 31, 2024.
