Berg Pipe was developed in 1992 as part of the Europipe Group company, which owns large diameter pipe and coating facilities from Germany. It carried out its production activities on the production of pipes for the oil, natural gas and construction sectors. Berg Pipe has produced spiral wide seam pipe from its facilities in Alabama and large diameter pipes with longitudinal wide seams at its Florida facilities. Thanks to the latest technology systems used, it was possible to produce pipes in any desired size.
What standards has Berg Pipe produced pipes?
Among Berg Pipe's production dynamics, within the scope of the quality standards developed by Europipe, pipes up to 80' long have formed their product range. Longitudinal wide seam pipes included 24" to 60" outside diameters and 0.375" to 2,000" thicknesses, while spiral wide seam pipes were produced in 24" to 56" outside diameters and 0.275" to 0.790" thicknesses.
Berg Pipe, benefiting from the technologies used by the Europipe company, has made production with high quality standards in the production of large diameter pipes. The pipes produced were able to withstand both extreme desert heat, extreme polar cold and high sea pressure.
Which projects has Berg Pipe signed?
Berg Pipe has accomplished quite a lot of projects in its past. The biggest project developed in this sense is that most of the North American long-distance oil and gas pipeline infrastructure is laid with pipes manufactured by Berg Pipe. The total length of this line is 834,152.5 km. The pipes, which make up 6,989 km of this, were produced by Berg Pipe.
“Borusan Mannesmann expressed its future promises on the acquisition of Berg Pipe”
Berg Pipe was recently taken over by Türkiye-based Borusan Mannesman. Borusan increased the number of production facilities in the USA to 4 with this investment. At the same time, Borusan underlined that with the acquisition of Berg Pipe, it now has the status of "local player" in large diameter pipes.
Having bought 100 percent of Berg Pipe company, Borusan said, “Berg Pipe has two plants with longitudinal submerged arc welding in Florida and spiral welded in Alabama. The company, which has shown great growth in the energy sector in recent years, stands out as the supplier of all major pipeline projects in the USA, which has a great potential and has turned from an importer country to an exporting country for world markets. With our purchase of Berg Pipe, which has a total production capacity of 550 thousand tons, our goal is to reach a more strategic position in large diameter pipes." He emphasized his future goals with his statements.
