The Ministry stated that, according to the "Authority" clause of the Export Support Decree, which was put into effect last year by Presidential Decree, it is authorized to provide additional support periods in cases of force majeure by writing to chambers and exchanges.
In this context, a decision was made to extend the support and project periods by one year in order to prevent the possible grievances that may arise in the state support processes for exports carried out by the Ministry for companies with central and production facilities in the affected provinces by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaras on February 6.
Information was also provided regarding the supports whose periods were extended under the Decree in the letter.
Thus, companies that currently benefit from overseas trademark registration, global supply chain-related overseas warehouse rental expenses and storage service expenses, unit rental, and promotion support will be covered in this scope.
The support periods of companies with design and product development projects will also be evaluated within this scope.
In addition, the support periods of companies supported within the Marka and Turquality support programs, whose support periods are included in the Marka Program, have also been extended by one year. The approved target market periods whose durations have started and are continuing for those currently included in the Turquality Program will also be included in the extension decision.
The support periods for consultancy and employment support for corporate capacity development, whose durations have started and are continuing, of companies included in the Turquality Program have also been extended by one year.
In the event that the center of the cooperation organizations carrying out the International Competitiveness Improvement (UR-GE) Project or the centers or production facilities of the companies included in the project are located in one of the provinces affected by the earthquake, it was deemed appropriate to extend the project periods by one year.
Support amounts were determined
According to the Export Support Decree, expenses related to the registration and protection of trademarks abroad for 2023 are supported up to 1 million 357 thousand Turkish Liras, while expenses related to overseas warehouse rental and storage services are supported up to 7 million 239 thousand Turkish Liras.
