Hydnum Steel and Gonvarri Industries signed green steel supply agreement

Hydnum Steel, the first steel producer in Spain's Iberian Peninsula to produce green steel, and Gonvarri Industries, a global leader in metal transformation, will supply green steel to Hydnum Steel's Spanish multinational.

Both companies intend to supply around 1 billion euros worth of green steel over 7 years, with the aim of promoting the use of green steel in different sectors such as construction, energy and automotive, offering high quality products that comply with environmental standards and making Spain a leader in green steel production in Europe.

According to the agreement, the companies will collaborate on logistics optimization to provide efficient deliveries and develop low-carbon transport solutions.

Green steel is a must for our customer standards

Eva Maneiro, CEO of Hydnum Steel stated that “We believe that with every ton of green steel we bring to market and with every innovation that challenges traditional methods, we must create an industry truly committed to the future of our planet”
Josu Calvo, CEO of Gonvarri emphasized that “Green steel is imperative to meet the sustainability standards demanded by our customers and society,” commented Josu Calvo, CEO of Gonvarri. This agreement with Hydnum Steel reinforces this commitment and helps us move towards cleaner, more responsible steel production.”
