According to the CBRT data, housing prices increased by 59.1 percent in real terms in January.
While the prices of new houses in Turkey increased by 150 percent, it was observed that the prices in non-new houses increased by 153.6 percent. The average square meter price in Turkey was 18 thousand 682 TL.
Price growth rate in Ankara surpasses Istanbul
In the annual increase rate in 3 major provinces, Ankara ranks first. Housing prices in Ankara increased by 156.8 percent in January compared to the previous year. The unit square meter price in Ankara was 13 thousand 664 TL.
In Istanbul, housing prices increased by 154.4 percent annually. The unit square meter price in Istanbul was 28 thousand 910 TL.
In the same period, housing prices in Izmir increased by 149.9 percent. In January, the price per square meter in Izmir increased to 22 thousand 143 TL.
