Hoa Phat Group increased its crude steel production to 2.66 million tons in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 25% increase compared to the same period last year, with total sales volume also showing strong growth.
Hoa Phat Group produced 2.66 million tons of crude steel in Q1 2025, achieving a 25% increase in production compared to the same period last year. Sales volume reached 2.38 million tons, reflecting a 29% y/y growth.
The key factors driving this growth include favorable weather conditions supporting construction activities after the Lunar New Year and increased government investment in infrastructure projects. Hot-rolled coil (HRC) production reached 993,000 tons, with domestic sales totaling 874,000 tons, marking a 9% y/y increase.
Sales of construction steel and high-quality steel products also performed strongly, reaching 1.19 million tons. Additionally, Hoa Phat supplied 198,000 tons of steel billets, more than doubling production compared to the same period last year.
Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Integrated Steel Complex Phase 2 On Track
The first phase of Hoa Phat's Dung Quat 2 Integrated Steel Complex has begun trial production, and the second phase is progressing as scheduled. Once completed, the complex is expected to increase Hoa Phat’s annual steel production capacity to 15 million tons, making the company the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia.
