German steel trader Heine + Beisswenger has inaugurated its new high-bay warehouse in Trossingen, following 15 months of construction. The opening ceremony was attended by Trossingen Mayor Susanne Irion, IHK Schwarzwald Managing Director Thomas Albiez, and Unternehmer Baden-Württemberg Deputy Managing Director Tim Wenniges.
During the opening ceremony, Heine + Beisswenger CEO Prof. Dr. Rainer Lindner stated, "With this investment, we are enhancing our service level for our customers in the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg industrial region. This region is a vital hub for medium-sized companies in Baden-Württemberg."
The warehouse, with a capacity of 15,000 tons, spans 45 meters in length, 23 meters in width, and 22 meters in height, housing over 3,500 cassettes. This advanced system expands storage and processing capabilities, enhances energy efficiency, and enables quicker and more efficient service delivery to both existing and new customers across various sectors, including automotive, mechanical engineering, agriculture, and medical technology.
With this new logistics hub in Trossingen, Heine + Beisswenger aims to strengthen its leadership position in the Schwarzwald region by offering sustainable and innovative solutions while getting closer to its customers.
