Grupo Acerero plans to invest $350-400 million in a new mini-mill in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, with a capacity of 1 million tons of steel per year. The project, named Beskar, will also integrate the company's existing facilities. The plant will install an electric arc furnace (EAF) and a plate production line. The capacity is expected to be commissioned in 2025.
Grupo Acerero already owns a mini EDP plant with an annual capacity of 950,000 tons of steel and a long products plant with an annual capacity of over 1 million tons.
