In the first six months of this year, trade between China and Kazakhstan exceeded $13.5 billion, up 20.5% from the same period a year earlier. It should be noted that the share of China in this trade turnover is 20.2%, which underlines its important role in the economic partnership with Kazakhstan.
Exports from Kazakhstan to China decreased by 3%, reaching $6.3 billion, while imports from China increased sharply by 53%, reaching $7.3 billion.
Export commodities from Kazakhstan include oil and oil products, copper, alloys, ores, radioactive chemical elements and radioactive isotopes, and wheat.
