Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in a post on his social media account, stated that he received Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and representatives of the Turkish business world in Kiev.
Stating that the meeting was held as a result of his recent meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Zelenskiy stated, “It is important that the Turkish business world is in Ukraine.”
During the meeting, issues such as achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, strengthening Türkiye-Ukraine relations, cooperation opportunities in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the participation of Turkish companies in Ukraine's reconstruction process were discussed.
Free Trade Agreement may be approved during Erdoğan's visit
Emphasizing that Ukraine sees Türkiye as a strategic partner and security guarantor, Zelensky stated, “We are ready to approve the Free Trade Agreement with Türkiye during the upcoming visit of President Erdoğan.”
The agreement is expected to increase the volume of trade between the two countries and strengthen economic cooperation with Türkiye during Ukraine's reconstruction process.
