The Bank of England's (BOE) response to market turmoil with bond purchases had a positive impact globally, from stocks to bonds.
While US indices finished the day with an increase of around 2%, the S&P 500 recorded its fastest daily rise since August 10 with 1.97%. The positive atmosphere was also reflected in the Asia-Pacific region on the new trading day.
The US 10-year bond yield, which reached a peak in 2008 by rising above 4% on Wednesday, declined after the BOE step and closed the day at 3.74% with a decrease of 21 basis points.
The yield is 3.77%, up three basis points on the new trading day. Despite the positive atmosphere in stocks and bonds, there is a recovery in the dollar this morning.
