Dönmez stated that the increasing trade volume between the two countries is pleasing and noted that this trade volume will reach the level of 5 billion dollars by the end of the year.

Dönmez stated that energy will constitute the most important share of the targeted trade volume and noted that they reached a consensus with his Algerian counterpart on this issue.

TURKEY-ALGERIA JOINT MINING COMPANY
On the other hand, Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines Arkab stated that they discussed the development and implementation of all the projects decided in the KEK, and that they also discussed projects in the field of petroleum and petroleum products and mining.
Arkab said, "Tomorrow, the ways of establishing an Algerian-Turkish joint company, which will be a first in the field of mine and mine development, will be discussed between the Algerian National Geology and Mineral Development Agency (ANGCM) and the Turkish Mineral Research and Exploration Agency (MTA). said.
Emphasizing that there are strong relations between Sonatrach, the Algerian national oil and gas company, and BOTAŞ, Arkab said that they also discussed the issue of the extension of contracts between Sonatrach and BOTAŞ with his Turkish counterpart.
Arkab emphasized that Turkish companies also evaluated the possibilities of making joint investments in the hydrocarbon sector with Sonatrach and said that they are pleased to partner with Turkish companies.
Minister Dönmez, who attended the 2nd Algerian Investment Conference held in the capital Algeria today as the guest of honor, met with Turkish business people residing in Algeria.
