In the January-June period, automotive sub-industry products were exported to over 200 countries, free zones, and autonomous regions. In the first six months of this year, 40.9% of total automotive exports, totaling 17 billion 701 million 161 thousand dollars, consisted of sub-industry products. Exports of the sub-industry increased by 1.11 percent in the same period to 7 billion 240 million 821 thousand dollars. Germany had the highest share in exports to the sub-industry, but exports to this country decreased by 6% compared to 2023.
The United States was the second country to which automotive supply industry manufacturers exported the most, with exports to the United States increasing by 18.4% in the same months of this year. Sub-industry exports to France increased by 8% in the same period. Italy ranked fourth with 435 million 488 thousand dollars, while Russia ranked fifth with 419 million 940 thousand dollars.
Automotive supplier industrialists exported 221 million 357 thousand dollars to Romania in the first six months of last year and increased their exports by 71.2% in January-June 2024 to 378 million 992 thousand dollars. In comparison, the United Kingdom ranked seventh with a 0.2% decrease and 362 million 237 thousand dollars, Spain ranked eighth with a 7.3% decrease and 332 million 530 thousand dollars, Poland ranked ninth with a 5.8% increase and 312 million 657 thousand dollars, and Belgium ranked 10th with a 3.5% decrease and 169 million 185 thousand dollars.
