German steelmaker Lech-Stahlwerke has stopped production due to rising energy prices.

German steelmaker stopped production

In Germany, steelmaker Lech-Stahlwerke has decided to stop production at its factory in Bavaria due to the large increase in electricity prices.

In the only steel production facility in Bavaria, a company representative stated that it is very difficult to continue production in these economic conditions with this increase in current electricity prices.

Located in Meitlingen, Bavaria, the factory produces 1 million tons of steel per year.
