According to the German metal workers union IG Metall; workers went on a strike on Saturday after a third round of negotiations with employers that did not bring the expected results in terms of financial support against the backdrop of the energy crisis.
The strike involves more than 500 factories and workshops across the country.
The enterprises’ offer includes paying 3,000 euros in advance to compensate for inflationary losses for 30 months, with the union abandoning further demands and waiting for the possible future salary increase.
The next round of negotiations is scheduled for 8 November.
