The USA industrial giant General Electric (GE) announced that it will split into 3 companies focused on the aviation, health and energy sectors.
In the statement made by the 129-year-old company based in Boston, it was stated that GE plans to create 3 publicly traded companies.
It was stated in the statement that GE Renewable Energy, GE Power and GE Digital will merge and they will operate as 3 separate companies with GE Aviation and GE Health.
In the statement, it was noted that the health services company is planned to be separated in early 2023 and the energy company in 2024, and after this split, GE will become an aviation-focused company.
