The deal was officially signed at a meeting between Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and CNPC Chairman of the Board of Directors Dai Houlian. This agreement relates to gas supplies through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, which is one of the important routes for Russian-Chinese gas cooperation.
The volume of gas supplies through the Power of Siberia this year increased by 46.6% compared to last year.
Other projects were also discussed at the meeting, such as the construction of the Far Eastern gas pipeline, which is currently in the design stage, as well as the project to create the Soyuz Vostok pipeline in Mongolia, which will be a continuation of the promising Power of Siberia - 2 gas pipeline.
