TÜİK published the foreign trade statistics for March. According to the data, in March, exports increased by 4.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 23 billion 595 million dollars, while imports increased by 3.4 percent to 31 billion 936 million dollars.
In the January-March period of 2023, exports increased by 2.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 61 billion 558 million dollars, while imports increased by 11.1 percent and reached 96 billion 250 million dollars.
In the pioneering data announced by the Ministry of Commerce, the foreign trade deficit in March was 8.6 billion dollars. According to the ministry data, Turkey made $23.6 billion in exports and $32.2 billion in imports in March.
