Taiwan-based Feng Hsin Steel Co. Ltd., a producer, processor and trader of steel products, announced this week's price lists. Rebar and section steel prices decreased by NT$18,100/mt and NT$18,100/mt and NT$25,200/mt, respectively. In addition, scrap prices decreased by NT$300 and stabilized at NT$9,100/mt on Friday, September 13.
Last week, H2 scrap values in Japan and containerized scrap values in the US fell to USD 325/ton and USD 320/ton, respectively. On the other hand, iron ore values from Australia increased from USD91.1/ton to USD92.05/ton. Feng Hsin reported that it has not received any offers for scrap shipments from the US.
