Ezz Steel stated that it is preparing to challenge the methodology used by the European Commission to calculate provisional anti-dumping duties on its products. According to the company, Ezz Steel will file a formal challenge to the accuracy of the calculation methodology. The European Commission said it had given interested parties a three-week period to challenge its findings.
On Friday, March 14, the European Commission announced that provisional anti-dumping duties will be imposed on steel products imported from Egypt, Japan and Vietnam, effective April 7. The final decision will be announced in October, while Ezz Steel's appeal is expected to take place in the near future.
