Eurozone PPI rised sharply in November

On an annual basis, the PPI increased by 87.9 percent in Ireland, 51.7 percent in Denmark and 40.4 percent in Romania.

Eurozone PPI rised sharply in November

Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Eurozone increased by 23.7 percent in November compared to the same period of the previous year.

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) published November PPI data for the European Union (EU) and Eurozone.

Accordingly, the PPI in the EU increased by 2 percent in November compared to the previous month and by 23.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the Eurozone, PPI increased by 1.8 percent in November compared to the previous month and by 23.7 percent compared to November 2020.

Compared to the previous month, the PPI increased by 10.3 percent in Denmark, 8.5 percent in Bulgaria and 7.3 percent in Romania compared to the previous month.

Among EU countries, PPI increased the most in Ireland with 87.9 percent, Denmark with 51.7 percent and Romania with 40.4 percent on an annual basis in November.

The PPI was determined as 18.5 percent in Germany, 17.4 percent in France, 27.1 percent in Italy and 33.1 percent in Spain.

In the said period, annual PPI in EU countries increased by 64.9 percent in the energy sector, 23.7 percent in industry and 18.6 percent in intermediate goods.
