The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) shared the third quarter growth and employment data of the EU and the Eurozone for 2021.
While the Euro Zone economy grew by 2.2 percent compared to the previous quarter in the third quarter, when the coronavirus measures were relaxed; Germany grew by 1.7 percent, France by 3%, Italy by 2.6 percent and Spain by 2%.
GROWTH AND EMPLOYMENT DATA ANNOUNCED
The European Statistics Office (Eurostat) reported the third quarter growth and employment data of the EU and the Eurozone for 2021.
Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the EU increased by 2.1 percent in the third quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter, and by 4.1 percent compared to the third quarter of 2020.
In the euro area, GDP increased by 2.2 percent in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter and by 3.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Compared to the previous quarter, Germany experienced an increase of 1.7 percent, France by 3 percent, Italy by 2.6 percent and Spain by 2 percent in the said period.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, Germany grew by 2.6 percent, France by 3.3 percent, Italy by 3.9 percent and Spain by 2.7 percent.
Employment in the EU and Euro Area increased by 0.9 percent in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter and by 2.1 percent compared to the third quarter of 2020.
