SteelRadar's list of the world's largest European iron and steel companies, compiled from data compiled by the World Steel Association (Worldsteel), is led by ArcelorMittal with a production of 68.52 million tons. The company ranked as the world's second-largest steel producer with this production figure.
Thyssenkrupp ranked second in the European list, producing 10.35 million tons. The company is ranked 41st in the world ranking, two ranks up from the previous year.
SSAB, in third place, ranks 48th globally with a production figure of 7.78 million tons. The company moved up five ranks in the world ranking compared to the previous year.
Voestalpine Group, ranked fourth, produced 7.10 million tons. However, the company decreased its ranking from 51st in the previous year to 55th.
Salzgitter Group ranked fifth, recorded a decrease in its production figure, and decreased from 58th to 64th place in the world ranking with its production of 5.71 million tons.
Celsa Steel Group, ranked sixth, decreased three ranks from 64th in the world ranking in 2022 to 67th in 2023.
