Following the investigation launched after Eurofer's complaint, the European Commission decided to impose strict antidumping duties on electrolytic chrome plated steel (ECCS) imports from China and Brazil. According to the statement by the European Commission; in the investigation, it was determined that this import was harmful to the EU industry. With the anti-dumping measures to be taken, European producers producing electrolytic chrome-plated steel in France, Germany, Spain and Italy will be protected from harm. It is known that ArcelorMittal, Thyssenkrupp and Acciaierie d'Italia are among these manufacturers.
