While Southeast Asia and India account for 46% of the European Union's HRC imports, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and India are among the countries whose exports to the EU have increased remarkably. Steel producers in Japan, which is among the countries with an increase in their exports to the EU, started to reduce their exports due to the concerns caused by other anti-dumping investigations by the European Union.
Although there was concern about anti-dumping investigations in Japan, whose share in HRC imports in the EU reached 12% in the January-September period, the thought that such an investigation would be opened against Japan by those in the market was not dominant.
