Sustainable Green Industry Vision Document shared
ESO Sustainable Green Industry Unit announced at the launch meeting the Sustainable Green Industry Vision Document, which was prepared within the scope of the European Green Consensus, which will deeply affect production and trade.
At the launch meeting held at the ESO Assembly Hall and attended by Eskişehir industrialists, business people, NGOs, members of the press, representatives of institutions and organizations, the ESO Sustainable Green Industry Unit revealed its responsibilities, strategic goals and objectives within the scope of the European Green Consensus. Vision Document was shared.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, ESO Chairman Celalettin Kesikbaş said, “As you know, the European Parliament has officially started a new process by ratifying the Climate Law. This decision, which is extremely critical for the future of the world, will have serious effects on production and trade. ESO Sustainable Green Industry Unit, which we established about two years ago, supports our members at this point. Our Unit, which provides seminars, training and consultancy services in areas such as Green Reconciliation, carbon footprint calculations, green transformation, clean production, beyond raising awareness, delivers many special services to our members and sets an example in our country in this field.” said.
“Our vision document is a guide document”
After the opening speeches, ESO Council Member and ESO Sustainable Green Industry Unit Coordinator Ömer Benli, who gave information about ESO Sustainable Green Industry Unit, stated that they aim to enable ESO Members to understand the opportunities and threats of green transformation in the best way and turn the process into an opportunity.
Making statements about the activities of the SYS Unit, Benli said, “We started our work in May 2021. To date, we have calculated corporate carbon footprints for 15 companies. We reached 1541 people with the awareness trainings, information meetings and Green Collar Academy we organized. With these activities, we managed to set an example for other Chambers. Our goal is to reach all our industrialists, to inform them within the scope of the Green Agreement and to guide them in line with the carbon neutral target. In this context, our Vision Document, which was prepared by the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry Sustainable Green Industry Unit after a long and comprehensive study, is a guide document that will draw the roadmap of Eskişehir Industrialists and Eskişehir Chamber of Industry within the framework of the European Green Consensus.
