They added that the signing ceremony, organised during the Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Growth initiative in Bahrain, cemented the strategic partnership between Emirates Steel Arkan and Bahrain Steel.

"Through this strategic partnership, we aim not only to promote integrated industrial growth, ensure a stable supply chain and enhance the foundations of our steelmaking capacities, but also to strengthen economic ties within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)," said Saeed Al Remeithi, CEO of ESA.

"The five-year contract underlines our commitment to provide high quality iron ore oxide pellets to meet the evolving needs of Emirates Steel Arkan," added Dilip George, CEO of Bahrain Steel.

Emirates Steel Arkan, majority owned by ADQ, is the largest steel and building materials producer in the United Arab Emirates, supplying local and more than 70 international markets.
